Artemisa

Objectives (general and specific).          

General objective: Influence the citizens’ awareness -particularly children and adults- about the importance and need for environment caring, for the transformation of the popular council; especially the reforestation of the hydrographic basin, by creating recreational spaces that respond to a varied programming, aimed at different population segments, without distinction of creed or religion.

Specific objectives: Contribute to the reduction of the main social problems of the community: alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction, teenage pregnancy, school disappointments, attempted suicide or completed suicides, STI/HIV /AIDS. 

Brief characterization: It was incorporated on July 6th, 2013, in Circumscription Nº 71 in Taco–Taco CP, San Cristóbal Municipality. Together with the Popular Power Delegate, it carries out joint actions with other community projects in the municipality; which allows us to exchange experiences; in addition to linking ourselves with the educational actions developed with Public Health. They educate the community on very complex issues; such as the various IRAS diseases, typical of our climate, and those that would cause social indiscipline, such as micro-dumps. Its headquarters is located in “Los Caneyes” neighborhood, house Nº 9, which is home of its President and place where the workshops are held.

Problems to which it responds: Contamination of the hydrographic basin of the PC, due to the deposits of domestic waste on its limits, increased alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction, teenage pregnancy, school disappointments, attempted suicide or completed suicides, STIs and HIV/AIDS.
