Cuba reports 182 new cases of COVID-19 and one deceased

At the close of yesterday, November 23, 4 344 patients were admitted, 3 014 suspects, 172 under surveillance and 1,158 confirmed active.

For COVID-19, a total of 17,943 samples were made for surveillance during the day, with 182 being positive. The country accumulates 10,979,501 samples carried out and 961,458 positive.

Of the 961,458 patients diagnosed with the disease, 1,158 remain hospitalized, of them 1,122 with stable clinical evolution. There are 8 299 deaths (1 per day), a fatality rate of 0.86% vs 2.0% in the World and 2.43% in the Americas; two evacuees, 55 returned to their countries, there were 284 discharges on the day, 951 944 recovered patients accumulated (99.0%). 36 confirmed patients are cared for in intensive care, 10 of them critical and 26 seriously ill.
 
On the day, 1 deceased patient was reported. We deeply regret what happened and convey our condolences to his family and friends.

Until November 23, 191 countries and 32 territories with COVID-19 cases are reported, the confirmed cases (+ 455 299) amount to 258 716 331 with 19 396 374 active cases and 5 179 378 deaths (+ 6 569) for a fatality of 2.0% (=).

In the Americas region, 97,218,903 confirmed cases (+ 123,773) are reported, 37.58% of the total cases reported in the world, with 10,576,693 active cases and 2,362,343 deaths (+1,260) for a fatality of 2.43% (=).
