Call XXX Provincial Salon of Plastic Arts Eduardo Abela Artemkisa - 2021
Thirty years have passed since the Eduardo Abela salon was held for the first time, an event that began reduced to a very regionalized group of artists and for the first time directed towards graphic design, but which gradually expanded and became the Provincial Salon of Plastic Arts of Havana. Since 2011, the Eduardo Abela Provincial Visual Arts Center in San Antonio de los Baños has continued its history from the same headquarters, this time summoning artists from the Artemisa province.
Today we are in a special edition, as we arrive at the 30th anniversary of the event; But the difficult situation with the Covid-19 pandemic limits us to celebrate as it deserves. Even so, we continue in our efforts to carry out the Show online from our Eduardo Abela Visual Arts Center platform on Facebook, without lowering expectations, reaching as many artists as possible and demanding the same quality in the creation and curation processes. All plastic arts artists residing in the Artemisa province will be able to participate. In this edition, natural artists from the Artemisa province who reside abroad are also invite.
• It will compete in painting, drawing, engraving, photography, sculpture, installations, and performance.
• In the case of sculpture, installations and performance, the project must be sent with images and explanatory texts of the work.
• The images must be sent in jpg format and have 300 dpi.
• Three works will be admitted per participants in each specialty, which may not have competed in other competitions.
• The works must have been carried out between 2019 and the closing date.
