The company Lizt Alfonso Dance Cuba (LADC) will open today the registration period for the DanceCoreo International Choreographic Contest, an online contest aimed at artistic creation in all the styles of this manifestation.

In its first year, the contest has the support of renowned institutions and personalities from Spain, Mexico and the United States, while taking as a reference a similar contest that the group develops for 20 years dedicated to professional and amateur participants.

The event adapts to the conditions imposed by COVID-19 and moves to the virtual stage with the aim of enhancing the training and future of artists, by providing an opportunity to make their work visible and share experiences.

According to the company's official website, the registration period will close on May 31 and anyone with creative and choreographic concerns over seven years of age in ballet, flamenco, fusion dance, modern and contemporary, character, urban styles can participate. and folklore from anywhere in the world.

The creators will have the unique experience of assembling and presenting the winning pieces in different destinations in the United States, Spain, Mexico and Cuba, among other countries, says the text, while pointing to the existence of six special awards.

In statements to Prensa Latina, Alfonso recently explained that the contest offers the option of presenting oneself from home, aware that the current pandemic situation generates the need to take care of ourselves, therefore the way to register and deliver the materials will be online, on the LADC website.
